The New Church In Town...
Look whats coming to town!
XYZ Church: Portland Campus
Coming in 2009...XYZ Church Portland! If you live in the Portland area or nearby, get ready for something BIG. We are talking really big. Some might even say HUGE. Giant. Enormous. Whatever word you use, you don't want to miss it!
Oh how I want to tell them to stay out of Portland.
XYZ Church is a vibrant, growing community of Christ followers, started in Dover, NH. This is church like you have never seen it before.
Yeah, I have seen it before, how about 15 years ago, all over So.Cal!
XYZ Church features rockin' music, a relaxed atmosphere, and engaging messages that go straight to the heart of today's real issues.
What no coffee shop, book store or hair salon? Please don't plant a church like this in PDX. It will not achieve what you want or what the Kingdom of God excepts.
XYZ Church is one church with multiple locations...,
Hey did they steal that from someplace?
and Portland is going to be the site of our first campus in Maine.
Maine? Ooops, my bad. But this sounds a lot like PDX!
Portland is the largest Metropolitan area in Maine, and home to over 240,000 people.
Maybe a couple less people.
Portland is home to 4 universities and features an exciting arts district which is expanding rapidly along with the area's overall population.
And a few more universities
Portland continues to get younger as it grows, and yet there is no church like NLC anywhere near Portland.
Is that a bad thing?
XYZ Church is thrilled for the chance to extend its reach to Portland where young, talented, bright people are living outwardly happy lives while being filled with hurt on the inside.
This is.
Jesus wants to heal people's brokenness and offer them the opportunity for true peace and lasting happiness in life.
This is not.
Beginning on April 12th 2009, we will be meeting at the Cinemagic in South Portland at 9:30 AM on Sundays. These experiences will feature the same incredible music and teaching people in Dover have come to expect from XYZ Church as well as our amazing kids areas on Sunday mornings.
OK, so this is going to be a new church in the OTHER Portland. I honestly hope people there meet Jesus.
However, I still think someone needs to change their name.
