I agree

"A widespread abandonment of Christian doctrinal commitment — even doctrinal knowledge. Forget the rising number of people with no religious identity; the news to me is the vast number of self-identified Christians who have no real knowledge of, or deep commitment to, a specific Christian faith. You could say they were watering down Christianity's teachings, but I question if they even know those core teachings."

Wasn't it Barna the found about 80% of self proclaimed/identified Christians valued their own feelings and thoughts over the commands of the Bible?

Attending church and living for Christ are surly two different things.

So, no, I don't see all of them as having a watered down or partial truth; nor even uneducated in the things of God - they just don't want to follow Jesus. They know what they should be doing.
