Today Is My Birthday

39 years ago today I was born. Here are some birthday thoughts:

• I am one year away from be officailly an adult (its not about being finished with school, being married, having kids, buying a house, or about having "the" job. In my head its about being 40.)
• If I can maintain this body shape for another year, I am set for life.
• There is still so much to learn.
• I think I have started a new spiritual journey today.
• My wife is amazing.
• There are so many things I have left undone and people I have neglected.
• Deb will hit 40 before me (ha!).
• I am fortunate to live in Colorado. The weather these past few days has been gorgeous!!!
• I'll take Social Distortion over Muse.
• What was it like the day I was born? (Wow, just got hammer by a wave of emotion. Never had that happen on my birthday.)
• How will I grow this year?
• How will I fail year?
• How will I be used by God this year?
• I am truly blessed.
• I need to get out more.
• I want to see more of the world (for leisure and for ministry).
• One more year in the bag that God has allowed me to be around. (some people may not think that was such a good idea on his part.)
• I still don't like coffee.
• I think this next year will be even more different and stretching than the last year.
• I still think I am young and inexperienced.
• I have too much to do.
• Its good to be alive and see the future with hopeful expectation.
